Lorraine never expected her life to be auctioned off in a twisted game of poker, but when she escapes her captors, she finds herself trapped in an enchanted forest that’s far from safe. Pursued by dangerous men, she’s rescued by Ash—a powerful dryad with eyes that glow like the darkest magic and a body forged from the heart of the forest.

Ash offers her protection, but his help comes with a price: her freedom in exchange for a bond that ties her to him until the next full moon. As she delves deeper into his world of dark magic and forbidden love, Lorraine discovers a passion that burns hotter than any she’s ever known. But with shadows lurking at every turn, she must decide if she can trust the monster who saved her—or if she’ll lose herself to the darkness forever.

Perfect for fans of alpha males, fated mates, and steamy monster romance.

Great read

This is my first Dryad romance and I absolutely loved it. Despite being a fairly short read this book packs a ton in. There's deep character development, rich story and great world building.

An interesting read

This was a really interesting read. The fantasy world created by the author is vivid and captivating. The idea of what is and is not worthy of intervention and salvation is an interesting idea and makes the reader think.
There is a wonderful combination of myth, magic and imagination fused together to create something new and different.
I have not read anything by this author before but I will definitely be reading more by them in the future.

Great story

Lorraine runs from one nightmare I to the realm and arms of Ash a Drus, where nothings as it seems and danger lurks still but Ash will keep her safe as long as she's bonded to him. Well written engaging read I can't wait for more.

Spicy Dryad

I have never read a romance book that focused on a dryad. This was a refreshing change. Like I said the romance was a great change of pace from the normal fantasy/paranormal romance tropes. The characters had immense developmental growth. I find myself shocked that the author was able to put so much character growth and change into less than 300 pages. The book never felt rushed though. It never seemed like they were trying to quickly get to the end of the book or skipping plot lines. There was a large amount of spicy scenes between the two main characters, with enough detail to make me blush. The book seemed to have it all romance, drama, action, fated mates, touch her and die, etc. I love the touch of greek mythology that was sprinkled into the story without it being overwhelming. The only downside I had to the book was that it ended on a cliff hanger that was upsetting. I loved these characters so much and the fact that they couldn't properly communicate was frustrating (just sit down and let me love you!). However, I understand this is a trilogy series and the cliff hanger was necessary for the set up to the next book.

Overall, it was a great book and I highly recommend it. I would give it between a 4.5 - 4.75.
